It is officially the beginning of December, which means that Christmas and 2022 are just around the corner. At some point, I blinked, and the year disappeared. Anyway, let’s turn to the topic at hand: my November challenge. At the beginning of November, I challenged myself to write a blog post and publish it every day for the entire month.
I almost made it.
I was doing really well until Thanksgiving weekend. But this last weekend, I just let all blog activities slide. Okay, I was also starting to wear down a bit. Truthfully, I wasn’t prepared for the weekend; no, I straight up didn’t prepare. I knew that it was coming. It’s not as if Thanksgiving is an annual national holiday.
So yeah, I let the ball drop, and because there were activities that I was participating in on Thursday, Friday, kind of on Saturday, and on Sunday, so overall, it was easier to let the writing slip. Also, I didn’t prepare myself for this challenge in general, so that’s on me.
Like I wrote just earlier, I was starting to wear down. I had fun writing, but I didn’t do any prep work, and fun can only last for so long. Which, between you and me, did play into me letting my blog posts slip over the weekend.
All this means that I’m trying this challenge over again.
I want to go an entire month where every single day has a blog post published. That was the original challenge, and I want to do it right. So my new goal for this challenge is to write the holiday weekend posts (the weekends of Christmas and New Year’s) in advance. I told myself to do that for Thanksgiving, knowing full well that I wouldn’t have the free time to write, yet here I am.
Enough excuses though, it’s a new month, so a restart on the challenge. Let’s go.
